Drug and Alcohol Education Talks
A big part of our program that we’re proud of, are our educational talks. The Glen’s philosophy is that prevention is better than a cure and it’s extremely important we invest heavily in the education of young people. Drug use often stems from other problems and can be seen as an instant “relief”. We try to educate young people about the real negative impact of drug use and also educate them about positive options to solve their problems. We have run education workshops for the following groups :
- Green Central (Youth Connections)
- Newcastle High School
- Lake Munmorah High School
- Hunter Valley Grammar School
- Doyalson Touch Football Association
- Yerin Aboriginal Medical Service
- Killarney District Soccer Club
