Clients must be free of all mood altering substances. We will not accept any person on any form of mood altering medication, this includes the following:
- Valium (Benzodiazapines)
- Panadeine, Panadeine Forte (any medication containing Codeine)
- Methadone
- Anti Depressants or Anti Psychotic medication
- Cold and Flu tablets (Codeine & Pseudoephedrine Hydrochloride)
YOU MUST SEEK PROFESSIONAL MEDICAL ADVICE TO CEASE TAKING ANY OF THE ABOVE MEDICATIONS.
The Glen does not have the facilities or trained staff to accept dual diagnosis clients at this time.
Clients will be required to submit to a urinalysis on admission. If a positive result is obtained to anything stronger than aspirin the client can be refused entry. There is a non-refundable fee payable.
All clients are admitted through the Chittaway Point facility. After admission you can be placed at either facility, you do not have a choice about where you are going to stay.
Clients must provide the Centre with a copy of their criminal history before admission. Clients who have no criminal history must submit a statuary declaration witnessed by a Justice of the Peace to that effect before admission.
We do not accept clients who have a history of the following types of offences
- Malicious wounding
- Assault or robbery involving a weapon of any description
- Sexual or indecent assault.
- Arson
- Murder or Manslaughter
